This video tells me that with my friends we didn't choose our Pokemon that badly after all (we were like 10-11 at the time). From what I remember, my team had Tauros, Alakazam, Gyarados, Snorlax among others one of my friends had a [demonic] Chansey with Toxic, an Articuno, and a Lapras (he played with sturdy Pokemon) and my other friend had a Dragonite, a Rhydon, a Scyther and a Jolteon (He played hit hard and fast). Mewtwo was prohibited.

Bottom line is. All the strongest. Are normals types. Psychic types. The legendary and psudeo legendary. Alakazam. Mew. Mewtwo. Exeggcutor. Snorlax. Taurus. Blissy/chancy Heracross is only top 10. If you are facing someone using normal and psychic types. So yeah. Always have heracross Skarmory sucks. So bad. My level 45 feraligator. Has more attack. Than a 100 skarmory

It’s not easy to make a top 10. But i’ll make it as accurate as i can 1: Garchomp (Despite not being a legendary it sure is a legend killer because it quite literally outclasses a number of them i viability and even some stats.) 2: Gallade/Gardevoir (He is better than lucario both stat wise and in typing. The only thing it gets beaten in is movepool but it doesn’t need it due to swords dance, leaf blade, psycho cut, drain punch/close combat. Whereas Gardevoir does have the movepool but lacks a second stab versatility option for your moveset. But they have the same stats just switched up Lucario is insanely good now because of the mega evolution and mechanics. It wasn’t as good back then.) 3: Togekiss (Boasts one of the best stats and movepool out of any non legendary/pseudo legendary or mythical. 4: Rotom forms (these are certified goats, they had some of the highest user rates ever for a reason, both in ubers and ou, despite being the latter in tier and never being uber tier.) 5: Magnezone (One of the best Pokemon type wise introduced in the region. And remained as one of the best non pseudo/legendary Pokémon throughout its creation along with rotom 6: Infernape (Best of the 3 starters but not by a long shot, empoleon has better typing and hits harder and can tank more hits. Infernape just has more options due to being a much faster mixed attacker.) 7: Scizor (Scizor is one of the non legendary goats of all time just like the rest of this list. With the classic Swords dance, u turn, bullet punch and roost set or even natural gift for the surprise for specific Pokemon.) 8: Milotic (With marvel scale, she is a fantastic Pokémon that is very underused, because of how she is obtained (usually not before the 7th gym.) With very good stats and could honestly be higher on this list.) 9: Lucario (Yeah he is not as goated as people make him out to be and i used to see him like that as well. But he is still one of the best.) 10: Roserade (One of the best grass types imo, i always get good results when using it.)

All this talk about salac berries... they were 15,000 poke coupons in XD, which took an eternity to earn. Not only that, you had to have a gameboy/gamecube connector to transfer it to ruby/sapphire to plant them, and even then, the plants produced one berry unless you turned on your gameboy to water them in real time. And then you have to learn soldering IN REAL LIFE to change the internal battery in the cartridge, starting a new game on another gameboy to transfer a salac berry to. I know because i have done all of this, lol.

What’s friggin hilarious is the amount of options this gen gave us. My personal favorite was having a Rage Primeape and two swagger pokemon… triple battle… use your own pokes to buff the pissed off baboon with Swagger…. Use Rage (cancels confusion and buffs Attack during rage) then slap a dynamicpunch or even a measly rock smash would decimate snorlax tier hp. That poor charles wasnt ready for me to start attacking my own guys. 😅
